Attached is a copy of the executive order by Governor Pritzker in regard to essential business that must remain open. See section 12 F of the order to see the list of financial institutions.
The currency exchange section of IDFPR would like to know of any plans on either adjusting your schedules or closing of any locations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We know the Act states that you would need to notify us 10 days in advance if you need to close for at least two consecutive days, but we want to know from the industry what plans are being considered for response. If you are not considering making any changes at this time there is no need to respond to this email.
We understand that the current situation will mean changes in people’s schedules, but we want to make sure the communities are being provided access to either cashing their payroll checks or receiving funds to be able to purchase necessities. We would like to thank you for your continued service to our communities and we are here to help in any way we can to make it easier on everyone.
